Effective Presentation Skills to Achieve Your Goals.

You are only as valuable as the ideas you have to share. Scores of studies show that effective presentation skills are critical to career success, whether you're pitching an investor, closing a deal, preparing for a board room discussion, gaining alignment on a decision, or just asking your boss for a promotion.

M.C. focuses on your natural strengths to elevate your presentation skills, authentically and sustainably. This is not a cookie-cutter approach. We begin with goal setting, identifying how you want to be perceived as a presenter. Then, by trying out new techniques and approaches, we work to eliminate whatever is getting in the way of your goals.

If you fear presenting, or want to engage and persuade your audience more effectively, you are in good hands with M.C.  She has helped thousands of professionals feel comfortable and confident in their ability to deliver an engaging, results-oriented presentation.

Coaching Overview

Following The Orderly Conversation approach set out by
Turpin Communication, M.C. will take you through targeted
sessions designed to clarify your goals and ensure you deliver
your message effectively.

Coaching sessions are unique to each person and based on a
real-world presentation or meeting. The content you bring drives
sessions as she takes you through the following approach:

  1. Identifying professional and presentation goals - how you want to come across to your audience.

  2. Gap analysis – after filming and talking about your current style, we will look for areas of misalignment. M.C. will provide simple, prioritized coaching on the areas that matter most.

  3. Experimentation and practice – this process involves trying out things that may feel outside of your comfort zone. Once we have discovered what works for you, these techniques will become a natural and effective part of your communication.

  4. Content review – create, organize, and enhance the materials that support your message

  5. Role-play – we may role-play question and answer sessions, difficult facilitation situations, and other challenges so that you are comfortable and confident, even in the toughest situations.

"I was approached by the American Marketing Association to give a presentation to their company on Big Data. Being sorely out of public speaking practice, I asked Mary Clare if she could give me a few one-on-one sessions to provide techniques to better my presentation style.

Wowza! Those few hours had a huge impact on how I present. MC provided critical feedback and holistic techniques to transform my speaking style to a more relaxed, genuine, yet corporate presentation. She taught me how to use my natural body language to express ideas, and implement cadence to highlight key points as well as how to set the tone. Best of all she articulated speaking concepts into digestible insights that were easy to practice in real life."
